ATOMEXPO 2013 International Industry Forum is over

International Industry Forum ATOMEXPO 2013 (June 26-28, 2013, St. Petersburg) is over. For the first time in history, the event of such a level has taken place immediately before a major event – the IAEA Ministerial Conference – and was included to its official program.

 

An exhibition was organized in the framework of the Forum, which was attended at its first working day by the General Director of IAEA, Mr. Yukiya Amano, the General Director of State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, Mr. Sergey Kirienko, and leaders of major Russian and foreign state organizations and companies. The participants were presented with expositions of over 100 Russian and foreign companies.

 

An extensive business program was organized for the Forum participants, in which framework, a plenary session “Atomic energy in the XXI century: responsible partnership for sustainable development”. Acknowledged experts of nuclear industry from different countries were defining a vector of global nuclear energy development. This major international discussion was remarkable due to importance and relevance of highlighted topics. Upon the results of the discussion, the participants had a chance to express their opinion through voting. A symposium, a conference and a range of round tables were also organized in the framework of the Forum.

Intensive and interesting business program allowed participants to exchange their experience, to define the industry’s development outlooks and to establish partnerships. A great number of meetings and negotiations were conducted at the Forum, as well as signing of prominent international contracts and agreements. New international contracts and agreements in the framework of ATOMEXPO 2013.

 

Over 2 000 participants from 42 foreign states attended the Forum. The Forum’s work was covered by three hundred journalists and photo and video reporters from Russian and foreign mass media. Forum photos are available at Photo Gallery.
